confession: the boyfriend of a neighbor of mine went door to door the other day posting a note asking if anyone received a letter addressed to him from his godmother in their mailbox. the address was supposed to be apt P but the letter was addressed to apt 6 (which somebody mistook for apt G which is my address). anyway, i actually did receive this letter about three weeks ago in my mailbox and as is my practice when receiving unwanted mail, i just left the letter on top of the mail boxes. apparently they didn't see it there (well it has been raining and windy for the past couple of weeks so that letter is most probably in the trash now). anyway, day before yesterday, the guy actually knocked on my door and asked if i saw the letter. i of course flat out lied and said i have never seen the letter. . . i felt so bad afterwards. i was watching the billboard music awards right then and alicia keys started singing her new song "karma". . . great. . .
