We are Virginia TechHere's a video of the touching closing piece at the Virginia Tech convocation in light of the recent tragedy.
Nikki nailed it. Thanks for telling me about the poem.
Kurt Vonnegut was one of my faves in my late teens -- you should read Breakfast of Champions too. Slaughterhouse-Five also blew me away. In an old interview aired on NPR after his death, the author talked about being in a basement slaughterhouse while Dresden was firebombed. So the book was based on true experience.
i've been trying to get a hold of as many vonnegut works nga rin (on the cheap, of course). i've read a lot of good things about breakfast of champions nga, and it's at the top of my list.
