You know how you need to listen to a song to figure it out, to finally get it? Such Great Heights has been around forever and the song has been such an emo staple, but I only really got it the other day, when I found a cover by Ben Folds, that it's probably one of the sweetest songs about missing someone. It's probably because I'm feeling mushy right now, but I couldn't stop listening to the original version, and since none of my friends are really into this type of music, figured I'd just share the song here, along with the Folds version and the Iron and Wine cover that appeared in the Garden State soundtrack.

the postal service version is still my fave. did you know that the US postal service sued the postal service over their name? they finally settled and the condition was that USPS will be able to use the song for their ads, which they did for a time. . . now UPS is using it too. . .

actually, paul's friend had it as their first dance at their wedding. . . it's not very danceable i think but we'll try to squeeze it in somewhere. . . i was thinking of giving it to mimi and karl to use for the AVP :)
