College buddies
Dinner last night with Mika and Richelle with a nerdy discussion of our home Internet connections, which was fitting, considering how we all met. It had been a year since we had dinner together, but it's like we didn't miss a beat when we get together. Funny how Mika would always refer to us as her "college friends", which is technically true, since we all met while we were in college anyway.We had a couple of drinks afterwards (mostly me drinking, and them gabbing away about boys and oversharing), and we toasted to eight years of friendship. Eight years! That was a whole lifetime ago... now Richelle's a lawyer and Mika's deep into law school, so at the very least, I won't have any problem getting legal help for the slew of lawsuits that would probably come my way in the future (I'm thinking paternity suits... or estafa).
